SLO

(2015)

Slow media is a passive form of moving image that is meant to cooperate with the viewer rather than consume attention and inhibit creativity. By passively engaging an audience slow media creates an opportunity for ideas, a fertile landscape for imagination, and a possible solution for a world full of poorly utilized video screens.

As an independent filmmaker, SLO produces and promotes minimal, real-time films that employ natural aural aesthetics and stunning yet honest visuals to elevate the seemingly mundane. Story and structure become optional, completely subjective and interactive. SLO believes there is meaning, knowledge and perspective to be gained from taking time to observe - and that can only happen if we choose to slow down.
