MIT Case Study Initiative

(2017)

The MIT Case Study Initiative built multimedia curriculum for urban planning, public policy, and real estate development education at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional development levels. Its operations were based out of the STL Lab in MIT’s Center for Real Estate and Urban Development.

MIT Case Studies are a progessive blend of documentary storytelling, academic investigation, and online teaching methods. They immerse students in real-world scenarios addressing pressing social issues, such as gentrification, planning for climate change, multi-national real estate development, and equitable transit-oriented development.
